Mixed Kommo-o is a dangerous wallbreaker, taking advantage of its great mix of offensive stats to overwhelm normal checks like Metagross and Iron Crown. Draco Meteor is a strong Dragon STAB doing heavy damage to Pokemon like Okidogi and Zapdos. Clanging Scales can be used as it lacks the drawback of reducing Kommo-o's Special Attack; however, it does make it significantly harder to threaten opposing Kommo-o running Soundproof. Close Combat is a strong physical Fighting STAB that threatens the likes of Excadrill, Empoleon, and Tyranitar. When these STAB moves are used in conjunction with Eject Pack it allows Kommo-o to switch out to lessen the initial downside of reducing its stats. This can allow it to stay in against Pokemon that can stomach a hit like Ursaluna and Rhyperior and proceed to switch to a teammate more capable of taking a hit from them. Drain Punch is an alternative option to Close Combat providing a form of longevity, especially if opting for Life Orb, at the cost of power. Flamethrower helps OHKO Scizor and does significant damage to Tinkaton and Metagross. Poison Jab is an alternative option that prevents Kommo-o from being walled by Azumarill and can potentially cripple the likes of Skeledirge and Slowking. Kommo-o is a great Stealth Rock setter thanks to its ability to pressure common hazard removers like Excadrill and Mandibuzz but a fourth coverage option can be considered instead. Life Orb improves Kommo-o's wallbreaking power but it will wear it down quickly if not running Drain Punch. Soundproof lets Kommo-o better take on Skeledirge and special variants of Kommo-o. A Naive nature is preferred so Kommo-o is better at taking hits from Ogerpon-C, Lokix, and Arcanine-H.

Kommo-o fits best on more aggressive playstyles such as bulky offense and VoltTurn. Tornadus-T, Rotom-W, and Lokix are examples of pivots that can help get Kommo-o in front of Pokemon like Tyranitar, Hydrapple, and Okidogi to throw off powerful attacks. Slowking is another pivot that can be paired with Kommo-o that checks Latios, Iron Crown, and Excadrill for it and, thanks to Regenerator, can be the reciprocator of a dangerous threat Kommo-o might Eject Pack out from. Arcanine-H and Tyranitar are powerful wall breakers that can pressure Skeledirge, Toxapex, and Slowking for Kommo-o. They can also opt to run Stealth Rock to free up Kommo-o to use another coverage option. Tinkaton is another option as an alternate Stealth Rock setter that uses its great defensive typing to be the primary pivot against threats like Ogerpon-C and Lokix that can overwhelm Kommo-o. If not running Poison Jab then partners capable of pressuring Azumarill are necessary like Zapdos and Ogerpon. Zapdos is also a fantastic check to Tornadus-T, Static potentially crippling it, and other Pokemon like Cobalion and Excadrill allowing Kommo-o to outpace and KO them. Ogerpon can deal with faster threats like Latios and Greninja after Terastilization, set Spikes to help wear down foes such as Toxapex and Tinkaton, and have many opportunities to remove key items like Assault Vest from Tornadus-T and Iron Crown allowing Kommo-o to break through them better.

Clanging Scales can be used as it lacks the drawback of reducing Kommo-o's Special Attack; however, it does make it significantly harder to threaten opposing Kommo-o running Soundproof. I would very much consider mentioning the option to run double dragon stabs here, pjab is definitely droppable in favour of getting both the dragon options for more spammability and removing both their downsides. Close Combat is a strong physical Fighting STAB that threatens the likes of Excadrill, Empoleon, and Tyranitar. When these STAB moves are used in conjunction with Eject Pack it allows Kommo-o to switch out to lessen the initial downside of reducing its stats. Drain Punch is an alternative option to Close Combat providing a form of longevity, especially if opting for Life Orb, at the cost of power. Flamethrower helps OHKO Scizor and does significant damage to Tinkaton actually does the same damage as cc to it, just diversifies moves you can click and do similar damage and Metagross. Mention what the tera type does, i'd bring up tera dragon as an alt option too and talk about the rolls it can get into av torn with hazards when playing draco (or double stab), and increased threat against shit like pex too.
