Here are the survey results:
Based from this, most of the respondents are relatively enjoying the metagame (average at
7.05), though its much less than the previous survey's score.
Although the respondents find NDM relatively enjoyable, the same cannot be said on their thoughts on the tier's competitiveness. With an average of
5.9, its a sign that the playerbase thinks that something should be done.
NDM and individual Pokemon:
Gouging Fire
With 57.9% of the respondents (and all but one for the qualified people) thinking that Gouger is unbalanced, the council decided to suspect Gouging Fire (details
here).
Ogerpon-W
Apologies for the color being the same as #1, but majority (50% of the respondents) thought that Ogerpon-W is balanced, so we'll leave her be for now.
Terapagos
On the other hand, no one thought Terapagos to be unbalanced. Because of this, we'll remove it from the radar.
Hoopa-U
Compared to the previous survey, Hoopa-U garnered far less support this time around. I (not speaking for the entire council) assume that this is mostly because of Gouger gouging the metagame open that people dont want more offensive pressure in the meantime.
Spectrier
Another divisive result, but if you sum up the balanced vs unbalanced one can observe that more people are not in favor of freeing Spectrier. What's interesting about this Pokemon is that the qualified voters mostly do not want Spectrier back in the tier.
Course of Action
There's a great support to Suspect or QB Gouger first, and that's what we did.
On Z-moves
The open ended question gave us lots of insight on the communities thoughts on Z-moves. Its interesting that from the entire sample down to only the "qualified" people, there's no unanimous decision or thought on Z moves in National Dex Monotype. In the meantime, please try to test a
Z-less NDM metagame whenever a tour like this is in the room. Its likely these types of tours will pop up more often after we resolve Gouging Fire, and the data will help us refine the banlist so that you'll get a better picture on how diverse (or similar...) a Z-less metagame would be.
That's all for the survey results, thank you for participating! Please don't hesitate to ask here or on the NDM discord for any clarification, and try to participate in the Gouger suspect test.
